The Linkwood Distillery was built in 1821 on the southern outskirts of the town of Spencer, Scotland. The distillery has a four-still plant with a tubular condenser, containing bundles of copper condensers with cooling water pipes passing through the condensers. The different types of condensers are used to produce whisky with very different flavours. Don’t be surprised if you get a different style of Ringwood single malt whisky – they all come from the Ringwood distillery. The original distillery makes this whisky with complex fruity floral notes of sweet apple, citrus, pear, caramelised almonds and smoky, liquorice flavours, with a warm and persistent finish, a classic Linkwood expression.
