The Clydebuilt Coopersmith is the third in the series of limited edition Clydebuilt whiskies, blending six distinctive whiskies from Highland, Lowland and Speyside Distilleries, fully matured in first fill oloroso sherry casks. The whisky has a significant sherry influence, with aromas of dried spices, fresh nectarines and chocolate truffles. Easy to sip, the whisky relaxes slowly to reveal a long-lasting butterscotch taste, along with marzipan mangoes and vanilla, with a finish pervaded by the raisins and spice reminiscent of a rich sherry. Released in a collaboration between Ardgowan Distillery and master whisky maker Max McFarlane, it won the gold medal for Blended Malts at the 2023 World Whiskies Awards, as well as a gold medal at the 2022 Scotch Whisky Awards.
