Appearance:
Deep well polished brass.
Aroma:
BBQ’d pineapple with paprika spice. Lots of dried mango and papaya. Zingy underripe kiwi fruit. Old and sweet cigar smoke and slightly dusty tobacco leaves.
Taste:
Lots of tropical fruits and a hint of cigar smoke and spice. A little bit dusty and rusty, like an old shed full of rusting gardening tools and dried grass cuttings. With water more bonfire smoke comes through followed by softer tropical fruits. Comment:
Very pleasant indeed. The smoke and tropical fruits are very well balanced. The finish is medium in length but will hopefully lengthen as it matures.
Ardmore distillery is a whisky distillery producing a single malt of the same name located in the village of Kennethmont, Aberdeenshire. The distillery was built in 1898.
