Bladnoch Distillery is a 200+ year old distillery where we make the finest Lowland single malt Scotch whisky. In 2017, Bladnoch celebrated its 203rd anniversary, making it one of the oldest and largest privately owned Scotch distilleries. And in 2019 it launched a state-of-the-art visitor center experience, gift store and Melba Café.

Ardgowan House stands on a high promontory with sweeping views of the River Clyde. A bronze axe-head recovered from the site of Ardgowan House confirms that the lands around the site have been inhabited for over 4,000 years. We have built a strong and experienced team with world-wide experience in the development, distilling and promotion of whisky. Our CEO, Martin McAdam, brings his knowledge of process engineering and renewables to the team. And our Director, Alan Baker, brings his knowledge of civil engineering, planning and his entrepreneurialism to the team.

A smoother, sweeter premium Single Malt Scotch Whisky, seasoned by the bracing Atlantic Ocean winds where the lowlands meet the sea – our goal is to produce nothing less than the greatest whisky in the world.

When the distillery commences production, we will produce three separate and distinct styles of spirit whiskies which will be available for sale as 4, 5, and 7-year old and which will appeal to a range of customers across a variety of markets.
